I’m Mary Vevers, an authorised marriage celebrant originally from Ireland and now happily based in Sydney.

I’m a romantic at heart, and I love what I do. I believe every couple has a story worth celebrating, and I’m here to help you create a ceremony that feels genuinely you— inclusive, personal and completely without judgement.

Your wedding day is about the two of you. Whether you’re planning something intimate and simple or a celebration surrounded by family and friends, I’ll work with you to create a ceremony that reflects who you are and what matters to you.You may be looking for a celebrant who is calm, relaxed, organised, reliable and a good communicator — someone who can keep things moving while making the whole experience enjoyable.

That’s where I come in.My background is wonderfully varied. I’ve worked in event management, owned a catering business, worked as a nurse and trained as an aromatherapist.

All those experiences have given me a love of people, a practical approach to organising things and, perhaps most importantly, an ability to stay calm when there are a hundred things happening at once.I want you to enjoy the journey to your wedding day, not worry about it.I love discovering new places and meeting new people, and I’m very happy to travel. So wherever you’re planning to say “I do”, I’d love to be the person who helps you get there — and gets you happily hitched.
