I'm Mary, a Sydney marriage celebrant, and I help couples create relaxed, intimate legal wedding ceremonies in beautiful Sydney locations. You can keep it simple with just the two of you and your two witnesses, or add your own personal vows and a few special touches.

What is a Legals Only wedding?

A Legals Only wedding is for couples who want the legal part of getting married without a full traditional wedding ceremony.

Think of it as a registry-office-style wedding, but with a little more flexibility and a lot more personality.

You'll need two witnesses, I'll take care of the required legal paperwork, and we'll make sure the ceremony includes everything legally required to marry you.

And if you'd like to say your own vows, absolutely! Your ceremony can be short and simple while still feeling like your wedding.

How your Legals Only wedding works.

1. We have a chat

We'll have a pre-wedding meeting, complete the Notice of Intended Marriage and talk about how you'd like your ceremony to work.

2. I take care of the paperwork

I'll prepare, complete and lodge the required legal paperwork.

3. Choose your location

You don't necessarily need a registry office. We can talk about suitable locations for your small wedding around Sydney.

4. Bring your two witnesses

You'll need two witnesses who are legally able to witness the marriage.

5. Say "I do!"

I'll conduct your ceremony, including the required legal wording, signing of the documents and, if you'd like, your own personal vows.

6. You're married!

Cue the champagne. 🥂
